Thailand is one famous country in Southeast Asia. Also condition to geographical feature of Country have filled with beautiful place both it’s born to be by natural and human made its. Include an old civilization had been long time ago and easy lifestyle of Thai peoples. And it’s more charm enough to attract tourist’s foreigner. So I don’t be surprise, If someone tell me that tourists foreigner more 10 million to visit in Thailand per year. Because we have yet a great number of anything else can create impression always for visitor such as service also smile with friendship and one thing to famous as well as tourists place is “Eating Culture” of each regions.
Do you know that? Why I call “Eating Culture”, because they have different livelihood, social, weather and lifestyle of each region. So something what they think, what they do? May not to be same and as each region. And each region has still kept good culture and tradition on. Especially foods are separated 4 identities – Northern region, Southern region, Northeastern region and the last one is Central region. Now I’ll start talk to you about excellent foods of each region.
Northern region: This region is up pest of country. Almost areas are around with mountains, good weather, clam and easy lifestyle of local peoples are particularly in reference to culture and architecture of Lanna. Often we had ever seen serving with “Khan Tok” among environment open – air in the forests hills
With in “Khan Tok” – foods are also put on the north’s best – known such as “Kao Soy Kai” for this menu you can get 2 types noodle, one deep fried crispy, another one, it’s soft serve with curry and condiment. And another special menu to I‘ll recommended “Nam Phrik Num” – a sauce for raw and to pound with peppercorn, serve with “Krab Moo” – crispy pork rind, a northern specialty also used as a drinking snack.
Most of northern foods, they use peppercorn and long peppercorn, which is spicy, but also has an herby, sweetish flavour. It’s very aromatic, and spiciness. I’ll rather sure, If someone had ever been tried, they have to like it same with me.
Southern region: They have to strongly hot chilli more than other region. Also they had got influence from Indonesian and Malay; they always use spices such as turmeric or “Kha min” so southern foods always has yellow fish curry, soups and grilled fish because there are coconuts on land and fish in the sea. Therefore, I’ll choose recommend special menu of Southern are “Gaeng Tai Pla” made with fish stomach and serve as “Naam Phrik” – a bowl of dipping sauce for raw and boiled vegetables. It’s tastes good; also strong spices, salty and little sweet. The smell of spices had a taste so powerful strong. They are wonderful menu; I think you absolutely cannot miss when you visited in southern of Thailand. And then another region:
Northeastern region: This region poorest of Thailand But If I talk you that “Isaan Foods” hardly no one never had known, The most famous Isaan dish is “Som Tam” or “Papaya Salad” with “Nam Pla raa”(fermented fish sauce), very strong taste and smell typical Isaan. This category included a variety of spicy and tangy dishes with vegetables, fruit or fish mixed together with lime, sugar, chillies, which dipper depend on the dish and serve with “Lrab”, “Yam” – It’s perfect balance of the four essential flavours(sweet, sour, hot and salty).In Isaan people eat with their hands using “Sticky Rice”.Not only Isaan foods is popular in local but also many woman in town like to eat its because the food is mainly stream or grilled – not much flying – which means it’s not fat.
Central region: These foods of region had good known both tourists foreigner and people who live in Bangkok. Because If I talk with you about “Tom Yam Kung” and
“Phad Thai Kung Sot” Those menus are not interested in those ways because it’s found and had famous as well as Thailand. So I’ll recommend a new special menu
